stupid people shouldn't be allowed to own computers.

and they especially shouldn't be allowed to call me with problems.

and they CERTAINLY shouldn't be allowed to have wireless networks.

oh, and also, they really shouldn't be allowed to live.

too bitter?

No, I completely understand. I spent my entire Friday cleaning out and optimizing my friend's computer because he doesn't know how to organize himself, and because he ignorantly bought an XP machine with only 256MB of RAM.

On Saturday I showed my sister the magic of Desktop Properties. And she's a veteran telecommuter.

Sigh.

Maybe if the government gave them proper training...

Desktop properties?!!

Anything you need to do on a computer, you can usually do by pointing at the thing, and right clicking till a menu pops up. The desktop itself is no exception. ;)

(Sorry for the non-Mac slant, Ish...although there are multi-button third-party Mac mice out there)

no, no worries... this particular stupid person is running windows inside a virtual machine on his mac simply because "i'm more used to internet explorer. it's where all my favorites are and i'd really rather not switch."

so let me get this straight, stupid person... you bought a mac at a premium price, spent even more on parallels and windowsXP, all so you could retain internet explorer? and then get pissed when things suddenly become complicated?

yes.

oh, and happy 33,000 eggs.

Nope, right there with ya buddy. My girlfriend has a PII with Windows 98. She wants to know why it's slow.

When I used to do computer repairs it was maddening how inept people were with their computers. No clue. Not a one.

Oh I already knew about right clicking on stuff. I thought maybe there was some magical thing I didn't know about!

If you leave a few gumdrops inside your computer case every so often, the elves that make it work will stop randomly crashing it all the time.

Trying blowing in it.

MY COMPUTER HASN'T CRASHED IN SEVERAL MONTHS! (I gave all the elves blowjobs)
