I want to smell dark matter
Remember when I used to post a thread for EVERY WWE ppv in the wrestling forum (we had a wrestling forum!)? And now I never talk about any of them? I thought I'd review Summerslam in case any one saw it or wants to talk or make nonsensical replies about jews. Anyway.
MVP beat Jeff Hardy - Good opener. Could have been a bit longer and better. Shelton Benjamin distracted Jeff, MVP hit has new finisher (which is much better than his old one) for the win.
Santino and Beth Phoenix beat Koffi Kingstone and Mickie James to win the IC and woman's titles - Santino is easily the best comedy performer in the WWE today and his pairing with "The Glamazon" has been very amsuing so far. Decent match, some very funny moments.
Shawn Michaels came out with his former NITRO GIRL wife to announce his retirment. His acting was really good here. Jericho came out (in a suit) and ordered Michaels to tell the world that he was retiring because of Jericho injuring him and all that stuff. Jericho was awesome here too. Michaels called Jericho evil and stuff. Jericho tried to punch him, Shawn ducked, Jericho punched his wife! LOL! Great angle, well performed by all, can't wait for the next Michaels/Jericho match.
Matt Hardy beat Mark Henry by DQ - In about 30 seconds when Tony Atlas interfered. What the hell was this crap? Then Jeff ran out and he wand Matt beat the shit out of Atlas and Henry. I guess the Hardy Boyz are going to feud with all the black guys on Smackdown now.
CM Punk beat JBL - Yes, Punk finally got a clean win on ppv...and it was a good match! And the crowd loved him! Best JBL match since his return too. Punk as champion might work after all.
HHH beat Great Khali - LOL. In terms of Khali matches it was one of the better ones...which means it still sucked. The pedigree got a good reaction though.
Batista beat John Cena - Batista won clean with the Batista Bomb. Not much to say really, okay match. Cena seems to be losing a lot now.
Undertaker beat Edge in Hell In A Cell - Edge used a lot of weapons. A LOT. But that fit the storyline with him realising what he had to do to win on Smackdown by killing Mick Foley and feeling comfortable in TLC matches. Some great spots with Edge spearing Taker through the cell then running along the announce tables to spear Taker through the ECW table. Taker eventually hit the tombstone to win. Then he chokeslammed Edge through the ring and the fire came shooting out the hole. So I guess Edge is dead now.
Good show.
