The Legendary Troll Kingdom
Byrne was (is) a genius. This album ^^ for example came out in the late 70's and transformed what was a thrashy, punk rock movement into something different. Lyrical, yet dark and mysterious, almost frightening. My original impressions of this album were much different when it first came out than now.
When I first heard "Cities" I think I was tripping out on some good window pane or blotter, something....because the original pictures the song played in my head were scary, like one of David Lynch's early films. The imagery was very raw and cerebral, but the album was one of his best musically.
I'll be putting up more from this album as this thread grows.
