The Aral Sea: overlooked casualty of Red October.

A once large inland sea. One of Asia's great lakes.

Now? In critical condition & on life support thanks to the late Soviet Union's mismanagement of it's water resources.

I'll have to bing some links & pix on this "invisible" disaster.

That's good news FBI.

But it'll probably be some time before it's back to it's former glory.

If they're smart over there they'll refill & clean the Aral Sea real good & make it a global destination resort.

Wish we could say the same for the Colorado River --but hey, we're plucky capitalists, and all those folks in tumbleweed country ain't gonna get food or electricity from Mama Nature out there in the desert, so it's cool.
