The Dark One Approaches From The North

In the fleeting hours the dark one moves
In the dark and shadow.

Do you know the words that were spoken?

He eats at the table of the few
He moves within the many
All is within his field.

They dance under the sun
In the corners of their minds they know
The end approaches.

Convenience blinds to reality
It is inevitable
But the dance continues.

The shadow will fall
The dance will be stopped
Realisation will wash across the land
Fear will override.

The Dark one approaches from the north
He will greet them at the breaking of the sun
The shadow will begin to feast.

The words will be spoken
The land and sky will crack
The stars will tumble.

Those that did not heed will be savaged
Those that did heed will be savaged
All is for the dark one.

Few will be chosen
His heralds will take residence
New lands will be formed
The rebirth will begin.

The cycle begins anew
The waste of humanity will be purged
The renewed will advance.

The seeds are sown
The new land remembers not

THE STARS TWINKLE AGAIN
THE RED DAWN BREAKS
THE GREEN BURSTS FROM THE EARTH
MAN BEGINS HIS DANCE AGAIN
THE DARK ONE WATCHES FROM THE NORTH
ALL IS IN MOTION.

For a second, I thought he was referencing the Dark One from "The Wheel of Time".

Not... whatever THIS is.

As the man reads from the book
The words appear between the pages
not for the word to be seen by any.

As the creeping shadow draws near
All who ignore it's advance cry
It is known
They are seen.

And as he approaches from the north
It is known
They are seen.

And as the fruit withers on the vine
It is known
They are seen.

And as the speckled children trip on their folly
It is known
They are seen.

The children give their essence
Their blood runs on the stones
We close our eyes and breathe in
Such great vile deeds intoxicate.

The dark one approaches from the north
He hears the fall of the leaf
He hears the uncertainty in your heart
He knowns you do not understand
Your anxiety is his feast.

The north holds the source
He watches and waits
You are the game for renewal
Your blood will ignite the future.

Then the time of awakening approaches
The Dark One sees all from the north.

Time twists again as he waits for his hour
And then the children do play again
And the men do make their wars again
The hopeful look to a better tomorrow

As the new world takes shape,
He sees the pattern reemerge
But a new thread comes into view.

And then the unexpected does occur
The paradox canary flies over the north
The dark one howls with rage
The others have broken their silence

For the world was left to the dark one
The world was his to feast upon
The canary swoops across the dark one's bench.

The endless cycle, be seemingly broken
All that was agreed upon and settled, undone
The paradox canary chatters and pierces the aura of the dark one.

Rage and blood. Rage and blood.
Intermission.

....

And all will never be as it was.

...
Continue!

The children now scream of the broken wheel
In their hearts they understand the shattering of reality
The men lay down their guns
The sky twists into a mud yellow color
Nothing is as it should be
The canary chirps in delight
The dead of past cycles awaken in the new dawn

The dark one is understood
The dark one holds the balance
The canary of paradox opens the door
And now, the before-time wild is let loose

The Question

I know I'm not; I doubt the other fellas are, either. I get the feeling it's just blind poo flinging, at this point. Which is fun. Good exercise, too.
