WAY better than the last one, IMO.

Norton Kicked ass, and that Stark cameo at the end is really building anticipation for an Avengers movie!

I didn't mind the first film at all. Edward Norton is a good actor, but Bruce Banner? Eh.

I see he's in that silly chair they used in the TV series. The first film actually caught flak over straying too far from the show. Fuck those nostalgic, non-canon-appreciating old farts.
 
I liked it. It seemed to be more of a movie meant to set-up other Marvel movies than anything else. Maybe that was part of why I liked it.

I enjoyed it. I liked Iron Man better. I'm planning on seeing all the movies in this little Marvel circle jerk they have going. Fun stuff. :D
 
I'm just surprised there are people tasteless enough to think the Iron Man film is better than the Hulk film. I still like the first Hulk film better, despite the $100 million extra budget the new film had. I mean, fuck. Iron man vs. a bigger Iron Man. Hulk vs. a bigger Hulk. In Hulk I, you had Hulk versus a crazy Nick Nolte composed of electricity. And you gulp down this Tim Roth abomination shite? Yeah, the music was good, but.... it was still better than Iron Man.


Further proof the Spiderman films are the best - the audience had better taste, for one.
 
I was working with a guy in the film industry who said he had a colleague who had to sell shit from the first Hulk film to retail - he had a tough time.

The way the films have come around he has to sell shit for the second film now, and he has seen it. He is thinking of switching jobs.

I'll expand on this once I've actually seen the Incredible Hulk, but for right now: If you're judging a superhero film based on the quality of the villains, and seriously going to say that Hulk I's tanks, gamma poodles and a horrible Black Box Theatre ripoff of Absorbing Man (even with the great Nolte) are better than terrorists and Obadiah Stane/Iron Monger*, you're in no position to be questioning tastes.

And don't fucking get me started on Ang Lee's taking 40-odd minutes to even bring the Hulk into the frame, in the meantime entertaining us with half-baked psychopolitical claptrap and loving shots of lichen on desert rocks.


*although I agree with you that the final battle could have been done a lot better.
 
It had more potential, IMO. Not that great. Iron Man was better.

I think that all of these aren't stand-alone pieces. They're all a part of the greater whole. When all of them are finished it'll be quite a masterpiece.

We have Wolverine next.

Then we need a Nick Fury movie. Thor will be released that year also.

After that, it'll be a Captain America/Avengers movie.

Right after that, in the same year, we'll get The Avengers.

Should be a good run.

All superior to terrorists any day of the week. Iron Monger = bigger Iron Man. Bo-ring.
