In case you don’t feel like counting all those names 116 members have posted in AQG in threads started within the last week.

Now that’s compare that with how many members have made one post on the board within the past week, which is 283 members.

All right now that we have our magic numbers we can get a percentage.

40.9% percent of members who have posted on ExIsle within the past week have posted in AQG also.

Keep that in mind when someone bullshits you by saying only a few members pay attention to AQG.

Your right as to how many times I know I've heard only a small portion of the board comes to the AQG. And we have no idea how many just read that forum.

I'm so glad I asked "How'd you do that" *wink*
 
I guess I should spell out how I got my numbers.

BTW I did this at around 10-11 AM EST today. Statistics will change over time.

For the list of names I went to AQG and played around with the options at the bottom.

Order: Topic Started
From: 7 days

All the other options were left at the default.

To get my big list of names I clicked on the link under replies that lists the members and how many posts they made for that thread and copied the names to a text document. I then pasted the names one by one into Excel to keep it all in alphabetical order to avoid duplicates. Excel also lets me know how many names I have because there’s a separate name in each cell.

For the total number of members I went to the members list and clicked on the toggle more options list.

The only variable I used was the “Last post is” selecting “more than” and entering 11-22-2005 as the date.

I went to the last page (in this case 29) so it’s 280 members plus the three on the last page.

And there’s my numbers.

BTW this took less than half an hour.

Actually it's more like sip, but the idea is similar.

Since I work for Self, I try and hide it from her as much as possible. The fights I get into with Self scare me. One of these days she's going to kill me for my insubordination and expliots on the Internet.
 
Even I made the list! Hmmmm, is there a way to see who did the most posts in the AQG and then redo the list in order of posts?
