I'm returning to dwell on this here forum on a more regular basis, see. So, I need a place to post football related things (mostly Arsenal) even if nobody here but me actually likes or cares about it.

Even if you don't like football (the real football, not that nonsense overseas) you may find SOME things entertaining, since the league is one of the best soap operas around. Just wait until Mourinho gets his next job.

Today, for the first post I celebrate Gabrielle Martinelli's first senior goal at 18 years of age for Arsenal during our emphatic 5-0 win against Forest in the Carabao Cup. We brought in club legend Edu as one of our sporting directors last season and tasked him with finding a starlet from the Brazilian lower leagues.

He might be on to something.

 
Same match. Our golden boy, Hector Bellerin. Out for 9 months with an ACL tear. Comes off the bench and within a minute providing the assist for Willock. It was emotional.

 
When football is truly beautiful its transcendent. Mesut Ozil makes 400 thousand a WEEK. You know why? Because he can do this.



Only this game gives you such talents as Ozil. He's not an "athlete" he's a mathematical genius with legs. THIS is why I love this sport.
 
When I was growing up I believed (with good reason) that Michael Jordan was the greatest sportsman of all time. Then a small autistic kid called Lionel Messi decided to play football. It's not close.

 
As good as they are I think City will finish second behind Liverpool this season. They look just slightly more error prone than Liverpool this year.
 
Tomorrow is the big one. Arsenal vs United at Old Trafford. Remembering the Russian legend that was Arshavin that took them to task when life was sweeter.

Hey, a draw is annoying. Same happened to us at the weekend but at least we didn't lose SEVEN-TWO.
