Well, I can see what there trying for... the "intelligent spam" feel of the Mine Field when Menty, Wacky, Gagh, Hennoch, and Harkley were pounding it every day. Some of those threads were jenius. Gagh and Harkley are the mods, so there's that positive spin (meaning you "may" just be able to post three in a row).
But the whole beauty of the Mine Field is the very fact that it is so free and unmoderated. I'm not convinced that those kinds of fantastically random and wonderful threads are going to come out of a moderated environment. You can try to recreate that feel but... fuck. But...fuck. But..fuck.
