The new X-Box 360 layout.

It should've updated in your x-box 2 days ago.

Anyway, the avatar system is kinda silly. I guess they're going to do more with it later on down the road, but it really seems superfluous. The new dashboard layout is similar to the windows media layout, which I think is super-annoying. It's still navigable. Yet, the old blade/slide system seemed much more practical. Fucking microsoft.....

I'd give this update an unneeded out of 10.

say what you want... and, well... yeah, you're right. it's largely just for show...

BUT NETFLIX.

Considering that the netflix set-top-box is a chunk of change the 360 just went up in value somethin' fierce. fuck the dvds, i'm watching everything made out of ones and zeros.

but yeah, the avs are odd... competing with the wii i'm guessing. my wife did say, "hey that's cute, it looks like you..." so it's hitting a less jaded audience in the right way.

I made mine look like me, too. Only problem is, they don't have ZZ Top-type beards for the avs yet.

Oh, and I download all my movies for free and watch them on my X-Box anyway.

My heart stopped a moment ago-as I went downstairs and saw the 3 red rings of death on my 360.
It is working now.
I am sure its only moments away from not working tho.
I generally hate change, but the new layout is fine.

I kinda miss the old dashboard and I don't really care for the avatars but I LOVE the ability to load your games onto the HD.
