Had a couple of friends in college, and around 3am one morning we were all shitfaced and decided to go steal a pair of concrete guard lions we'd seen sitting in front of a house on either side of its front porch. Sorta like these guys.
Anyway, we drove over there and my one friend (let's call him Terry) escaped from the car while Tim and I were keeping vigil and planning an escape route. Several minutes later Tim was looking in his rear view mirror and just goes, OMG. I asked him what was up and he just said "Look." So I looked out the back window and there I saw Terry stumbling up the street with one concrete guard lion over his shoulder. Damn thing probably weighed 300 pounds, but he got closer and Tim went out to unlock the trunk of the car and we shoved it in there and went back to Terry's place. And then they decided they needed to go back for the other one to complete the set.
For a year or so they were sitting on either side of Terry's fireplace until we ended up moving and tossed them in the dumpster on the way out.
