Originally mine was, "The Question." But I took that name to mock and generally annoy Storm Rucker, after Storm Rucker registered it at the board I posted at previous to TK in order to troll me there. So when I came here, I used the same name to troll him. As far as I can tell, he lifted it from a comic book character.
I had it changed to "The Saint" later because at the time I was a big fan of the Vincent Price- starred radio series based on the Leslie Charteris character. (Not the Val Kilmer headlined film bastardization that came many decades later.)

Originally and elsewhere online I always used to use the screen name "Bal Ceber" which was an old, old joke I played at the expense of some ultra serious middle earth roleplayer kids. The name means nothing to anyone but me after all these years, but it's easy for me to remember and it's always available when I register. As opposed to Donovan, which is sometimes taken at busier boards.
Mostly, however, I stick with Donovan because I find myself terribly clever at times, and I like to take full credit for my best work. Total megalomania. Also, I find that talking to real people is much more satisfying than pretend duals, so I extend that courtesy to others. I'm me, and I stand behind my opinions for better or worse, and won't hide behind a fake name just to say some shit too stupid for me to own. That's just me...
