Why do Americans argue their politics over on here, like football fans argue here in the UK?
 
It's because very few people can see past the aforementioned parties. Everything has to belong to one or the other, and the eternal struggle continues.

It's so Orwellian.
 
Yes, there is evil and less-evil and nothing in between, unlike the UK, where politics are so incomprehensible that your average sassanach fem, like Gagh, just vote for the tallest guy and then go back to sucking down pints of spit-warm beer and arguing about soccer.
 
I thought it was a good idea to have separate left and right forums.

Both points of view had their "home base."

Nothing like a koolaid drinker who swallows every fucking thing their party spews for them. This silly-as-shit two-party system is a nightmare - the nightmare the founding fathers dreaded.

Both fucking parties throw the voting public a few partisan bones and set us all at each other in bitter partisan battles, rhetoric and cat-fur flying thick while they laugh and grow the government as fast as they can.

Democrat? Republican? Not a fucking spit of difference. The only two issues that separate them are abortion and taxes. "Mavericks" that are on the "cutting edge" cross over on those two issues. What's worse is the idiot fucking public falls for it. The two parties are the same and unless the American public breaks out of the idiot party-line mode, this government system will lead us all into slavery.

And partisan morons are busy pointing fingers at each other. Idiots. Drink your fucking koolaid.
