Daystrom was having sex with the computer, his penid was CGI. He kept shouting M5 IS ALIVE!! M5 IS ALIVE.. HOW DO YOU LIKE MY ENGRAMS NOW BITCH!

I watched the montage of the CGI bits on Trekmovie. It wasn't as exciting as I was expecting. This was the one everyone was looking forward to.

Still.. it was a good one. I was laughing at how angsty Daystrom was over his M-5. It was one of the few episodes where there was a reason Bones was on the bridge.

The episode is fine as it is without the added CGI. I haven't actually watched any of these re-done episodes though, so perhaps the CGI makes it EVEN SUPER BETTERER?

It's been years since I saw the un-CGI'd stuff, so I can't really tell if anything is different. I think it just all looks more clear, like new shows do.

But isn't part of the charm of Trek that it's old and rusty?

Yeah, I liked it for it's rusty charm too. Still they were very conservative with the CGI so it isn't too much.

As long as the unaltered episodes haven't been DELETED FROM THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS or whatever.
