There is a box

a box of chocolates say,
or even just a container maybe
it is sitting in my room

do you think if I keep looking at it
and finding things wrong with it

it will one day get up and leave me
saying, "Fuck you, I can't live up to your standards anymore!"

I look at this box and appreciate it for what it is
and what it contains
but then
sometimes I think
"No no no! This box is too good to be true!"

And I look at the box and I say, "Hey you've been in other rooms lately, haven't you?"

And the box says, "Of course not, I only enjoy this room and want to stay"
