Edd the Duck was glove puppet that accompanied the Anchorman resident of BBC1 Kiddie's TV 'The Broom Cupboard' during the late 80's & early 90's. He was seen as the natural successor to Gordon the Gopher, the last puppet & owner of Phillip Schofied.

Edd was seen with Andy Crane, Simon Parkin & Andi Petrs - AND EVEN HAD A COMPUTER GAME NAMED AFTER HIM ZOMG.

The Duck had a Green Mohawk haircut, which sometimes came unstuck when the puppet was flailed about.

In his spare time, Edd raped Batman.

So what prompted Edd the Duck? Well, I was watching the local news on ITV last night (Meridian, as it is called), and the weather man popped on. I thought "I recognise this ginger tosser", then as soon as I heard the voice - It's Simon Parkin! last on Kid's TV about 15+ years ago!

He didn't have hair at first, then they had a vote for what haircut he should have and the mohawk one.

I always prefered Gordon The Gopher.
