"You've been waiting for this for a long time, or so you believe. I suppose from your perspective it seemed a long time anyway."
"I remember the endless years travelling into the dark with the Earth, no light, no hope, no will of my own...but yes. Back here it seems like a long time."
"I thought we should meet. It seemed rude not to, before the end."
"So tell me. What was your plan for me?"
"My plan?"
"You made me like this. By taking me back in time you made me immortal. You don't do anything without that doesn't serve your purposes. What did you want me for?"
"Your immortality was a byproduct of the time travel, nothing more. I didn't give it any thought."
"Cut the crap. You made me immortal! That's not...that's not nothing."
"It is to me. You're immortal, yes, but you have no real powers. You're not like me. Not like the Squid."
"But...all these years..."
"Let me guess. The thought that I made you like this is what kept you going? You let yourself believe you had some grand purpose. Was it to justify your existence? Did you do some evil things? It doesn't matter. None of it matters. I'm going to end all of reality soon. I thought you should know that."
"I've killed countless people. Sometimes out of defence, sometimes for...fun. I help people too. And yes. I told myself one day everything would make sense. I haven't hurt anyone for many years..."
"People are nothing! I crush them like ants! Forget them. Forget it all. I just wanted you to know the universe is ending."

"And how are you going to end all of reality anyway?"

"He swam where few have swum before, but he has returned. My time slaves have detected him. He'll be looking to kill me. But I need him. He is the key. He will take me to the Source. And then I will end it all."
"And you need me to use as bait."
"Well...no. I hadn't actually thought of that. I think so little of you that it never even crossed my mind. But sure, why not. I'll use you as bait."
"Good. I'll come willingly."

"Do you think I want to live forever? Besides, it will feel right. The three of us together again."
