Probably because most of us don't come here to talk about politics. I come here to spam, bully, troll and generally be infantile and obnoxious. There are other places I go for those kind of serious discussions. I pop in to this section from time to time, but not often.

alt.startrek.vs.starwars (Usenet group) The ancient civilization that was responsible for virtually all Trek, Wars, and VS debate boards including TrekBBS, Stardestroyer.net, Spacebattles.com, StarfleetJedi, etc. Started in 1997. It had more traffic on a bad week than all of those web based boards you mentioned combined. The legendary "Eclipse" thread was something to behold. Yep. Mike Wong has been my nemesis for a dozen years. He did indeed start his board because we were beating his ass in ASVS. I was there from the start, and was mentioned in the first link. The wise man who "struck his staff upon the ground and the tortured hell known as ASVS came into existence." So, yeah I know a think or two about Fucktard Wong.
I wish it would go back there if you ask me. And you haven't.
