Thor

lol this fat old lady is sitting in a theatre texting to a trollboard about the film she's about to see.

Now that's pathetique.

Love the running shoe joke.

Love Loki.

Think we may need even bigger movie theater screens.

Love Stan Lee's cameo.

God, Chris Hemsworth is a hunk.

Still some surprises to go with this formulaic, genre specific story. Lots of good action too.

Love that there will be another - would love to know when.

Tom Hiddleston is dreamy (and very talented). I'm getting kind of burned out on comic book movies but this one looks good.

I'm not a follower of comics so I have no expectations going in. If they do something not in keeping with the character or storyline as known elsewhere I wouldn't know. Works to my advantage.

What I like most about these movies is the bigness. The venue is big - multiple worlds. The characters are big - many are gods. The stories can be complex - motives within motives, illusion within illusion.

Then there is Natalie Portman, an excellent actor I have watched grow up. Anthony Hopkins is legend. Chris Hemsworth - best Thor ever.

Overall, it is just what I like - excellent production values, excellent sound track, excellent actors, an interesting plot, engaging visuals, entertaining subplots, action, adventure. And, the deliciousness of Loki.

I'm not a comic book reader either so I'm not really invested in story "purity". I guess a lot of the nerds got their panties in a twist when they dared to cast a Black actor in the first film. Hopefully they've calmed down about it since Mr Elba has shown himself to be a talented and super hot actor. Hubba hubba So much pretty in these movies.

Hey FW, make sure you cut a hole in the bottom of your popcorn container.

Just sayin'

I don't know what else Idris Elba is in but he certainly is awesome in the role of the gatekeeper person. I love the scene where he stops that invading ship in hand to machine combat. Exciting and edge of the seat kind of stuff. He is equal to Thor in awesomeness. Also love that while Thor is a bull in a china shop kind of individual, Loki is kind of smooth and elegant. Loved the Queen's bit in this film. Good dialogue and she had some surprising and exciting action too.
