Thread #1: Brown or white eggs?

Dr Dave

pillzlol
What is the diffrence between brown and the regular white eggs?

Does anybody know, are the brown egg laying chickens feed something special? When you go to the store do you prefer white or brown eggs? Do raceist black fokes hate white eggs?

There isn't any difference and no the chickens aren't given different feed. Just some lay brown and some lay white. In the past people thought white eggs were better RACIST FUCKS, but now if you go into the store you'll probably have to pay more for the brown eggs because chicken farm chickens are all the same and they lay white eggs. Brown eggs most likely come from a specialty farm so they don't produce as many, that's why they cost more.

I think it's something to do with how the chicken fells when it lays the egg. If it's happy, white, if it's sad, brown.

even though what Cassie said is perfectly correct and I know this in my heart, I still buy brown eggs. TRUE STORY.

brown egg is beter

State your reason for this.

Brown eggs used to scare me when I was little because my grandmother would bring them to us from her chickens. Damn I hated her chickens. Scared the piss out of me. I have no problem eating chickens on the moral level either.

Back to the brown eggs thing, I used to think they were fertilized if they were brown, but come to find out that's just an old wives' tale. The color of the egg depends on the variety of chicken.

I always thought it was due to what they were feed.

They're all pink on the inside.

Chicken Boo, what's the matter with you?
You don't act like the other chickens do.
You wear a disguise to look like human guys.
But you're not a man, you're a chicken, Boo.

I prefer the white eggs, tho I have no good reason for this. There's absolutely no difference in taste, from what I can tell.

OK, I'll be Mr. Wiki.
Egg shell color is caused by pigment deposition during egg formation in the oviduct and can vary according to species and breed, from the more common white or brown to pink or speckled blue-green. In general, chicken breeds with white ear lobes lay white eggs, whereas chickens with red ear lobes lay brown eggs.[14] Although there is no significant link between shell color and nutritional value, there is often a cultural preference for one color over another. For example, in most regions of the United States, chicken eggs are generally white; while in the northeast of that country and in the United Kingdom, they are generally light-brown. In Brazil and Poland, white chicken eggs are generally regarded as industrial, and brown or reddish ones are preferred.

I wan't aware that there are more brown eggs in my area than in others. Although when I look out my window... (LOL RACIST HUMOR LOL)

I don't have a preference, except when coloring Easter eggs. Ya gotta start with white ones or the colors come out funky.

We used to have chickens that laid pastel green and purple eggs.. the color was very light so it wasn't like Easter came out of the chicken's butts. I can't remember what kind of chickens those were. Anyway they were killed by some stray dogs THE BASTARDS.

Speckled Jim?

TOLD YA SO MR. WIKI!

see? This works out beautifully. The white ones for you, the brown ones for me. :D

I went through a phase where I wouldn't eat eggs at all and my sassy friend and I would call them liquid chicken period. Nasty nasty phase.

I only buy the white ones because they cost less. There is NO difference and I refuse to pay more for something when I don't have to. I plan to get some chickens one day, then I won't have to pay for them at all... hmm except the feed and stuff. MAYBE not.

^it was a good plan though!

and starbys? eww. lol
