what did you do for the bottom layer?
Mine doesnt look anything like that.
I put my coffee/Kalua-soaked lady-fingers on the bottom and then some of the marscapone/heavy cream layer, shaved chocolate, then repeat the layers and finish off with sifted cocoa on top.
the bottom is a thin layer of jocunde sponge cake that is 3 inches wide, set into a mylar cylinder.
The layers of ladyfingers and marscapone were set inside that bottom part.
It was finger/cheese/finger/cheese/the rest of the cheese/topping.
