WELL I don't think Lawrence created the language, but he started the Klingon language institute or SOME SHIT.

Yeah Marc Okrand is the guy who turned the grunts made the the Klingons in TMP (said grunts were written by James Doohan!) into an actual language for STIII.

He also did the Vulcan stuff in STII and III, IIRC.

He gets called out to LA when they start working on new films, and I think he's an answer on Jeopardy too.
