TNZ Changes rules......again (aka...no rules)

They keep changing them every few months...just like clockwork...

Which will mean that you can fight with people, but if you're only there to stir up crap, or spam, you'll be tossed.

This will be more like the Red Room over at WF (Thanks guys. I steal all of my best ideas from other boards. ), except for the removal bit. I don't think that part will get used very often. I've only had perhaps 3 involuntarily removed from TNZ since it began.

Questions/comments:

He's picking on me! Can't I notify a mod to help, or post in M.A. to complain if I'm unhappy?
-- Nope. Fight back or suck it up. If you post something outrageous or unpopular, have the cojones to deal with the results. No running to the mods or to M.A.

This will be ghastly. It'll turn into a cesspool!
-- Initially, there will be bloodletting. However, once the novelty wears off, we think things will settle.

What about civil debate?
-- There is still room for civil debate. If someone says something mean to you, you can always avoid responding.

I got warned in TNZ today. This isn't fair! Can't you let me off the hook?

T'Bonz will cave as soon as some of the usual whiners bitch and moan to her about being called names, being picked on and etc.

They flat out cannot make up their minds on what to do with TNZ. It's a shame that she doesn't have the spine to actually stand by a policy for once. The rules and policies for TNZ will be changed again in another year or so.

Which is absolutely the truth. The above is indisputable. All one has to do in order to stay on the in is pretend like you are interested in T'Bonz's writing and that you can help her break into the industry.

Basically now they won't even pretend to enforce the rules when the leftwingnuts gang up on and start flaming the handful of rightwing posters....not that they really enforced the rules anyway.

They should just close TNZ, it's an evolutionary dead end. Just put a link to WF and be done with it. Of course that would kill some of them to have to post on a board where their political views aren't the vast majority.

Not really, just a simple fact. TNZ has been where it is now with the latest and greatest rule change. It will be back to where it was these past months in probably another year. Or maybe T'Bong will try something really creative and split up the forum and have one for more mellow debate and the other sort of a free for all. Oh wait, she's already pulled that stupid idea as well.

T'Bong caves into the biggest whiners bottom line.

They enforce the rules when it is convienant for them. They also disproportionately enforce the rules an policy in the TNZ, well under the last system that is.

She calls the change a big change. How is doing something that was done before in the forum a big change? She worked all night to bring the members that change.
 
Actually, this is what I've been waiting for for a long time. Well, ever since the "great migration", anyway.

Left wing, right wing....pffft. If you can't hold your own to defend your ideals, no matter where your politics lie, then TNZ isn't the place for you.

In my opinion the board has been rendered useless by biased moderation for too long. Now the balance is off, the leftwingers outnumber the rightwingers by probably 10:1 if not more. So I expect arguments now will just turn into dogpiles, facts don't matter when you're trying to refute soundbites from 10+ people. I think most people will not think it's worth the effort, time will tell.

That about sums it up. Of course when some of the discussions get too tough and some of the whiney, sniveling little lefties start bitching to T'Bong she will again cave into pressure as she has repeatedly done over the few years.

Why would I go to Trek for a moderated version of a No Holds Barred forum when I could go to Lonaf for a non-moderated NHB and a political forum-- or hell, I could post here in Arm Chair Philosophies and troll in the Playground like I always do. I could go to Haven and post there. At this stage in the game, why go to Trek at all if you didn't start there? Talk Trek at Lonaf unless you think B&B are gods (which the aren't-- and I'd probably be warned at Trek for saying that!).
