...for War Of The Worlds. Pathetic. Cruise's performance in the movie was perfectly fine, even, DARE I SAY IT, good. There's absolutely no reason to nominate him for his acting...except, obviously, this is about him as a person rather than he acting. For shame, Razzie people. You brought same on the mock award show profession. I SAY WE PROTEST BY MASTURBATING FURIOUSLY OVER CRUISE IN MINORITY REPORT.

Its sweet karmic revenge for him making a stink over that South Park episode that made fun of him.
 
I liked War Of The Worlds & Cruise acted very well IMO. That said, i'm not a big fan of his. He hardly deserves to be nominated for a Razzie.

Totally agreed. His professional career and his acting ability are not laughable at all. He is a decent actor, always has been. He is insufferable and off the handle in real life but the mega fame does that to people. I'm talking the mega fame such as Cruise has enjoyed.

He acted well in War of the Worlds, this is just another case of trying to attack the mainstream and appear to be different and edgy and coming across as looking like a complete prat.

Maybe he'll show up to collect the Razzie he'll no doubt win, as Halle Berry did last year, and win over the thickle masses once more.

The nomination was well deserved...I couldn't think of a better actor who deserves it although Rob Schneider may be a shoe in for the award.
 
How the fuck did Hayden Christian get nominated for a Razzie? His acting has improved since the last 2 crappy Star Wars flick.
 
Haven't seen WOTW, at least not the Cruise version. But as ought to be apparent, the Razzies are not a good system. Examples of bad past decisions in terms of nominations:

Wynona Ryder - Mr. Deeds
Tom Green - Stealing Harvard
Tom Green - Freddy Got Fingered
Brian de Palma (Director) - Scarface

Worst Fims:
Freddy Got Fingered
Showgirls (also named worst film of the decade)

Totally agree with you, but then this has happened more than several times with Razzie nominations in the past.
