The distinction alone is worth some debate. And there are a lot of amazing sites and apps out there.

Under the apps category for example, I wonder if things like On Demand qualify. They may (or may not) use the internet under the hood (I'm not sure). But they are certainly a product of the connectivity brought about by the internet age.

I don't think I'm knowledgable enough to contribute, I mainly use the web for message boards and looking up hot female celebrities. I was going to add Amazon but they hate gays apparently.

Don't worry about that. Just go with what you use, and enjoy and think is worthy. It's a fun list, not a super serious we really must identify THE top 20 best ever sites and apps.

Anyone posts Flexo though and they'll get Antley Bixler Syndrome and die.
