Obviously, the tournament has been dominated by Brazil in it's history, and Central America lead Europe as winners by 9 Trophies to Europe's 8. Generally, the hosts of the tournament put in a strong showing, and on 6 occasions, have proven to be the winners

82 was a pretty damn good tourney.

'82 was my first tourney (well, '78 was, but I wasn't even 2 then). It had some great teams in Argentina, France, Brazil, Italy & even Poland. England wore the best shirt design they've ever had, but flattered to deceive.

All I remember of '82 is the great Italian player, Paolo Rossi. What a footballer he was!!1
