TQ - how many relatives do you have? What are their names? What do they look like? Where do they live? When will you bring them by to meet us?
 
Four in my relatively immediate family, Sir, Ma'am, David, Sarah, they look more or less like the Celtic/Viking stock that I do, various places, probably not in the foreseeable future.
 
I'm surprised more children don't have it beaten into them.

I was taught, every man you meet is Sir, and every woman is Ma'am, no matter what.
 
I taught my kids, but didn't beat it into them - not like I did about respecting what isn't theirs.

So, unfortunately, they don't use them consistently.
 
That is another cool thing about getting older. At first I was rebellious - "don't call me ma'am." Now, I like it. "Yes, ma'am." Those two words just go together so very well. No, I'm not a dominatrix. I just think people should gladly do what will please me because it is the right thing to do.
