Trip hop music recommendations

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
Recommend trip hop music to me (Massive Attack and Portishead, for example.) But not Massive Attack of Portishead since I obviously already know them.

I cant, I'm not whack enough.

Sorry, only know Portishead, and that was thanks to cognac.

I could just find out for myself, BUT I WANTED RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE MF WHACKOS.

I probably have some on my iPod, but I don't listen to it enough to know names and stuff.

Some of RJD2's stuff is trip-hoppy.

Ghostwriter (the song) and Smoke and Mirrors are good.

Some of this will cross barriers with flat out Electronica / Dance, but there you go. It's almost unavoidable:

Public Image Ltd, basically the instigators of the movement IMO
Kinobe
Aphex Twin (Really worth checking out)
Leftfield
Hot Chip
Vangelis
Mogwai
Air
The Blow Monkeys
Calvin Harris
David Lowe's Dreamcatcher
Martina Topley-Bird
Morcheeba

Thanks for the serious responses!

LOL TRIP WAS KILLED BY UNCONVINCING FOREHEAD ALIENS.

The Blow Monkeys are trip-hop? All I've ever heard is 1986's "Digging Your Scene"

A lot of their stuff has been remixed into club / dance style tracks. Also turned to club / dance style music as they were fading out of view in the mid to late 80's.
