HBO Sets Premiere Dates For New Drama ‘The Leftovers’, Final Season Of ‘True Blood’

Heroes Day meetingThe Leftovers, HBO‘s drama series from Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof and novelist Tom Perrotta, will debut on June 15 at 10 PM, following the season finale of Game Of Thrones.

The following Sunday, June 22, the 10-episode seventh and final season of True Blood will succeed GOT in the 9 PM hour, leading into The Leftovers for the rest of its 10-episode run.

Based on Perrotta’s bestselling novel, The Leftovers takes a look at The Rapture. Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler, Charlie Carver, Max Carver, Carrie Coon, Ann Dowd, Michael Gaston, Emily Meade, Annie Q, Margaret Qualley, Amanda Warren and Chris Zylka star. This Sunday, April 6, just before the fourth season premiere of GOT, HBO will air first teases for The Leftovers and True Blood.

Video probably won't play outside US, but give it a day or two, it'll pop up other places. The camera pans through a graveyard with headstones for many major characters who have died, and the last one says TRUE BLOOD: 2008-2014.

Will Yun Lee Joins HBO’s ‘True Blood’

Will Yun Lee has beenwill yun lee1 tapped for a major recurring role on the upcoming seventh and final season of HBO‘s True Blood. He’ll play Mr Gus, a Japanese businessman living in Texas, whose bigger-than-life, urban cowboy demeanor nearly rivals the size of his large Stetsons, Gus is out for revenge and will stop at nothing to get it.

Repped by APA and Zero Gravity Management, Lee most recently starred in The Wolverine opposite Hugh Jackman. He also just completed shooting a supporting role opposite Melissa McCarthy, Jason Stathom, Jude Law and Nia Long in Paul Feig’s comedy Spy. Other feature credits include Red Dawn, Total Recall, Four Assassins and Lost For Words. He also stars in Duane Adler’s upcoming Korean feature film, Cobu, which is scheduled to be released worldwide later this year.
