Most assuredly the latter.
 
That's why we should work on curing death while we're still alive. Do either McCain or Obama support this?

What if one of the women working on our nuclear program got pregnant, and the baby was really smart and heard everything said around it and eventually got caught selling nuclear secrets to Al-Qaeda via ultrasound? ALL DURING THE THIRD TRIMESTER?
 
Since it was third trimester, you can't abort it, even though you know it's evil.
 
But you can put it on death row as soon as it's born.
