Genuinely one of my favourite authors - across all genres.

Cassie will be sad, but she had a good life and caused some ruckus with some of the male egos (COUGH COUGH Brian Aldiss) around the Sci Fi genre. Se also said some interesting things around "alternative facts" recently so was clearly a bright intellect right to the end.

Loved her, sad about it, but happy she existed.
