So American Floyd Landis, winner of the Tour de France, tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs. Sucks to be him, he'll be forever branded a cheater, and has probably lost out on a few million dollars worth of endorsements.
I can GUARANTEE you that in the next couple of days, maybe a week, French "journalists" will somehow use Floyd's failed drug test as "proof positive" that Lance Armstrong was cheating. The media in France, so incensed that an American could dominate their sport, have been conducting what amounts to a witch hunt in order to discredit Lance. Armstrong has passed repeated, repeated drug tests with flying colours. Hell, a French journalist once broke into Lance's hotel room and "found" proof that Armstrong cheated.
I'd be willing to bet money that the French will very shortly use the Landis test as conclusive "proof" that Armstrong cheated.
And people say the United States media is whacked!
