Waiting For Stern.....

Mirah

I love you
Only 7 more hours to go for the West Coast.
I hope I won't be disapointed.
Do you think I will?

Yeah, he lost his shit right after he got divorced. The last few years of his show have been really lousy.

Ugh. Maybe I outgrew him, I dunno. I liked him fine when I was in high school, even in college. I liked the guests, and especially his bits.

Slowly, as he got bigger and bigger, with more A-list guests, he got more smug, and arrogant. The bits stopped. The talk was always about sex or boobs or shaving. It got old. Then he got divorced, got a HUGE paycheck, and starting living the true celebrity life, complete with a Hamptons mansion and invites to P. Diddy's parties.

He became unrelatable and boring. I much prefer the two local guys here in Philly. I either listen to them or to the local sports talk station.

^^So...anyone who likes sports is some sort of unintelligent cro-magnon?

BTW, the local morning guys routinely beat Stern in the ratings, even though he'd been here some twenty years or so. Are we all just morons who don't "get" Stern's brilliance?

You know, Jerry Seinfeld once said that the worst type of comedian is the one who blames the audience for not "getting" his material.

Well I didn't have the privilage of listening to Howard way back when, so I am more of a new fan. I would prefer some locals here as well, but they've all been taken away and I was left with listening to NPR-or one choice of a morning show-so I got Sirius-and am totally pleased with it. I now enjoy my commuting time much more.
