Was surprised by how short the end credits were.

I guess when you dont have to list 200 CGI guys the credits are a bit shorter.

Some of the effects have not stood up well, but I grew up on black and white films where giant monsters where guys in rubber suits smashing up model cities, and where I could forgive an enterprise that had bits flickering out of existence every time it orbited a planet.

Just listening to the Burton commentary now, don't think I have heard one before that was just one guy with noone to bounce off, but up to now there hasn't been too many awkward silences.

With perspective, the 1989 Batman now looks like the corporate-focus-group-hobbled pastiche that it was at the time.

I'd barely call it a Tim Burton movie. We finally got Tim Burton's real view of Batman with the sequel in 1992.

BATDANCE???

I never really noticed before how Batman just guns down most of the Jokers goons from the batwing, I knew he killed that guy in the church tower which was out of character, and blew up everyone at axis chemicals, hell he was just a massive killing machine in this.
