What are you reading?

Recently joined a reading group. Long story as to why.

Read "Defending Jacob." It was a pretty good read even though the obvious plot devices made it predictable. I'd recommend it.

Then read "The Art of Hearing Heartbeats." While some of the group loved it, I wouldn't recommend it.

Now I'm reading a story about WWII and a heroic guy who was a runner - Louie Zamperini. Not loving this book at all. I'm wondering if a book has to be pretty bad for this group to choose to read it.

What good thing are you reading?

At Swim-Two-Birds.

I like it and it's pretty funny but I feel like I'm missing about 60% of the jokes because I'm not Irish and I haven't read much Joyce.

You are so very correct. I think I saw it there years ago but typically I don't glance through Bizarre Bazzar for a thread about reading books.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Wow, you need new glasses don't you? That thread is in THIS forum.

That is hilarious - at least to me. Post in this area often and yet never noticed it was "Bizarre Bazaar" or that thread is pinned.

You're right. I haven't frequented enough to know that the CATEGORY was entitled 'Bizarre Bazaar". Yet still, I have been here long enough to know that there has been a thread about what book you're reading for the past NINE YEARS.

Dear Goddess, I must be getting old. Do you have any Geritol, Eloisel?

Sounds like this would better address your problem:

Like Aricept, Exelon, Razadyne, or Cognex?

And a morphine drip or Dilaudid or that stuff that they used on my eye when it was injured - was cold, wet, on a strip, left a yellow stain across my eye and eyelid. They wouldn't even tell me the name of it or let me have anymore of it because it is highly addictive. Instant nirvana.

Well I guess we're using this thread now, instead of the thread that has nine years worth of reading material. Cest la vie, eh?

Oh,
