What do these things have in common?

The Southern Strategy

The Game Risk

In this case, they have me in common.

I went to my best friends birthday party and played The game Risk with her and her husband.

I attempted to employ a "Southern Strategy" starting from Australia. This really didn't work well (I was not aggressive enough). When my friend would attack me, I would tell her that "we were a scrappy people in *insert country she was attacking*", which is similar to something Josh Lyman said in The West Wing.

Can I have Ops?
I love the game Risk, and often enjoyed speaking like an elder statesman when I was maintaining that kamchatka was the perfect base to relaunch my empire.

I once played a very wealthy guy who had the most ridiculous name you can imagine. Worth a fortune, but when he lost he threw the board up in the air. He was 22 at the time I think. Plonker

Can't you just make peace and call the game a tie?
