What do you think of this?

Just dont try and do it all in one peice, thats the mistake I often make.

Do the engines with a cylindrical map, and dont be afriad to break other bits down so that you can apply a planar map to each surface.

Sometimes a cylindrical map can work for the fusulague too, and if you are absolutly sure you have finished the modelling, try UVunwrap.

Ah, maybe that's my problem then. I look at texture maps other people have made and they're always one single piece, so that's what I've tried to do. I just end up with a mess. I might have another go with your suggestions when I've modeled some more of my Mk VII.

So I made the first picture in january and called it Cylon hell.

A nebular background with a tree superimposed creating a branching organic look.

Last week was the BSG finally and featured this image

Which is the moment most of the cylons went to hell

I havent been following BSG and will have to do the DVD catch-up route now, but are those skulls on either side of its "shoulders"? And what is that?

I dont think they are skulls, and explaining what that is might spoil the last few episodes for you

IT'S NERO'S SHIP!

Eerie coincidence.

I also just realised that they used old school raiders in there too.

How come Cavil's centurious and raiders were all old school anyway?

The older models still had their uses, but it was really a mixture of new and old ones from the Colony, versus only new ones from the Rebels.

THE GOOD ONES HAD RED STRIPES ON THEM, YES. I only noticed the old ones because they're old.

The stripes stoped them getting shot by the colonials who would have a hard time telling the good and bad ones appart, presumably the cylons themselves had no such problem.

What do Centurions do when they're not killing? Just stand around?

I think they play hide and seek on the baseship.

And play pattercake.

ONe planted a tree on Caprica once.
