If anyone can find the doubtlessly pretentious artistic statement the designer is attempting to make with these costumes, I'd love to read it.

In the meantime, I'll just be thinking "Approaching the North perimeter . . . Number 6."
 
It's usually a native culture thing. Could be it represents a piece of Italian folk mythology or something. We'll see.

But I'll still laugh like hell. :D
 
BTW, the Olympics are on for 17 days, not 12.
