Whats the best way to Clean out your Fireplace?

I've tried everything from Gunpowder to Grenades and I can't seem to get all the soot out walls. Ive been thinking of hiring a Midget to crawl up the stack and scrub it out, but all the Midgets I know are all working at the Mall as Santa's Elves.

To clean your fireplace:
1. Get recent phone directory.
2. Look up in the yellow pages "chimney sweep".
3. Call chimney sweep company and schedule an appointment for an inspection and cleaning.
4. Never leave such an important job to a non-professional.
