Where do I get an application for a bailout from the government?

He didn't promise any tax cuts. He promised not to raise the taxes of people with a taxable income less than $200,000. That is not the same thing as a tax cut. In fact, the tax cuts that Bush gave will expire and not be renewed under the new administration so the taxes of people making less than $200,000 will increase but it won't be because Obama raised them.

He is a politician true to form. He doesn't exactly lie but he sure doesn't exactly tell the truth either.

Yeah, they'll probably get it. The shitty part is there won't be any stipulations applied to the check. They won't have to manufacture more gas-efficient cars, alternative fuel source cars, and they'll probably pump out more hummers and SUV's so that our new black president can keep rollin' in style.

And on the tax cut situation... It's been shown that Democratic Presidents have raised the taxes for those earning less than $200k/year more than their Republican counterparts. In fact, both Bushes and Regan cut taxes for the lower and middle classes and simply kept the upper class taxes as they were. There was a graph I saw somewhere of the tax cuts. Very interesting.

Also, let me share something that got forwarded to me in an e-mail recently. Not sure about the validity, but it speaks volumes.

As the CEO of this business that employees 140 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama will be our next President, and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way.

To compensate for these increases, I figure that the Clients will have to see an increase in our fees to them of about 8% but since we cannot increase our fees right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we will have to lay off six of our employees instead.

This has really been eating at me for a while, as we believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who will have to go.

So, this is what I did. I strolled thru our parking lot and found 11 Obama bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off.

I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. These folks wanted change; I gave it to them.

If you have a better idea, let me know.

I'm sure it's an Urban Myth, the ALCU would be all over that. But it's still a good Urban Myth.

I paid $1.74 for gas yesterday, I dont remember the last time I paid that. I've also seen groceries come down a little, or at least better sales and I have cash stashed for a new PC, looks like this will be the season to get one. But with no job security and the worst economic outlook I've heard about in ages (new prez or no new prez) I dont know if I should be spending on anything but the basics. (My mutual funds lost so much in the last 4 months, I dont even want to look at the statements anymore) And I'll bet a lot of others feel the same way I do.

Already retailers are crying about the dismal holiday season and Black Friday isn't even here.

:hmm:
mm

In the future everybody will be bankrupt for 15 minutes.

True or fabricated --either way, what a jackoff. Obama's not what's ushering in his dreaded 'change' --the fucking ECONOMY is.
