As much as I dont normally like Bush, the fact that he laughed while someone was throwing shoes at him made me like him just a little.

As far as I know striking something with your shoe in Rraq is the ultimate sign of disrespect. If you remember a lot of Iraqis were thwapping the Saddam statue with shoes as they pulled it down.

I like the fact that they're protesting at rallies to get him released as he was only 'exercising freedom of expression'. In that case, according to Iraqi social rules, I can surely go and knee Blair in the nuts, and then the face and get away with it, and I am only exercising my freedom of expression.
