Why do old people have to make such a loud noise after drinking?

I drink quietly, no strange noises for me when i drink alcohol. Although it's a different story entirely when i chug a delicious thirst quenching Mountain Dew...AAAAAAAAH! indeed!!

Once people hit 40, its all downhill. After 50 it excellerates. After 60, every day is a blessing and after 70 you make loud noises after drinking.

They still have self control.

It depends on the drink. After a long day at work, I make a really loud noise after sipping my first cocktail at the bar. And dammit, I EARNED that long grunt/sigh.

But yeah, doing it every time is sort of like jingling the coins & keys in your pants pocket. Just stop it, now.

I do it to make sure I'm still alive.

You could just ask somebody if you're alive.

Perhaps the older you get the more dehydrated you get. Every first sip is like you have just been in the desert for 10 years, because you probably have.
