1. Most of the people I like over there also post here.
2. When I don't post at LONAF for a few days and then come back half the people have changed their names and I have no idea who anyone is anymore.

Meanwhile, I fit in over there just fine but for some unknown reason they collectively refuse to embrace me as full-fledged LoNAFite, except for Rich and Mal who are pretty decent and nice chaps who make me feel welcome over there. The rest of them are mean to me.Cassie said:

One way to get an idea who's who when everyone's suddenly jumped on the name change bandwagon at Lonaf is to click on a username above their AV. A pop up will show up with all the names they've been.

But it's a hassle to have to click on all those user names and then there are so many changes that I still can't remember who's who. The name changing crap is my biggest complaint against LONAF.
The not fitting in part is harder to explain, and will just sound like whining.. but I will try to explain anyway. When I make a post in a discussion the other people almost never try to engage me in the conversation. It's like you guys have this little internet club and anyone who hasn't been around since the beginning isn't welcome. So basically, I feel that when I make a post relevant to the topic being discussed, and attempt to make that post as well thought out as possible, I am ignored, and I've wasted my time. If this was something that only happened occasionally it wouldn't matter at all to me. I don't expect people to always be interested in or acknowledge what I have said, but I can only remember once in the past year when someone,whom I didn't already know from TK, bothered to include me in a discussion. IT'S SOOOO FRUUUSTRAATING.. lol.

But seriously, over the past year, there has been only one new member to LoNAF who is still active. That poster is yours truly. I can't remember any other LoNAF newbies that joined after me who are still active. We've had a few but they're usually gone after a few weeks.
Honestly, it's a pretty tough board for newcomers. Like Cassie said, the social dynamic there is that of a "tight clique" of posters who've known one another for what seems like eons. Breaking in to that "club" is virtually impossible for a newbie.
Now, I've done it because of shear will power and because I'm an internet geek with no social life outside the message boards I frequent
Therefore, I can't think of many other well-adjusted blokes and birds who would put as much effort as I have in being even tolerated to a certain extent at LoNAF. I submit to you that nobody has the patience required to make the transition into a semblance of belonging to LoNAF as I have done. And I did it against the odds; there are just about 2 or 3 LoNAFites that supported me from the beginning. The rest would just as soon see me permabanned.

You know, I only ever posted at wordforge before this place, and I always kinda expected TK to be like this, but no....not so much. I mean there are lots of inside jokes and whatnot that I think every place has, but in general nobody's outright ignored me and anyone acting whorebagelish seems to be doing so in the name of good clean fun. Thanks TK! You guys aren't so bad.
