Why is Jessica always surprised when she finds a body?

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
Surely she should be thinking "well this is about the time on my trip when I normally find someone I just met has been murdered" and be more surprised if there's NOT a body?

I wonder if there ever was an episode with no murder, where shes wandering around going WTF?

I wonder if she ever just sits down, recaps all the murders that she has been indirectly involved in, and then runs down the list of all the people who have visited her claiming to be nieces and nephews, and thinks JESUS SOMEBODY LOCK ME UP I'M JIM JONES!

I still maintain that people could have gotten away with murder and much more nefarious plans if someone would have put a cap in her ass because she's the only one who could solve the crimes.

Fletcher:phpquestion:

I was reading the imdb message boards for the show recently and there's one actress who's played 3 of Jessica's nieces, all called Victoria, but entirely different characters. She's also had multiple "dear old friends" played by the same actor.

what I could never understand was why anyone would still choose to live in "murder village" - Christ, someone was getting offed every week.
Move away, people!

Cabot Cove is a lovely place though.

I think there's an episode (probably more than one) where the murder took place fifty years before and they've only just found the body...I'm sure there was one where the only person murdered was a hired killer who had been after Jessica or something...and probably a few where the murder happens offscreen before the episode and it starts with Jessica investigating.

They should have had episodes where Jessica solves the murders from Gaslight and The Manchurian Candidate. (For all I know they did)

There was one with clips from an old movie and the actual actors all forty years older (or whatever) in the present day scenes.

They should have closed that series by finding out the true murderer has been Jessica all along, and she has been using her evil genius to not only kill her enemies but to have innocent people framed for the murders. It's how she gets her jollies...

^But I thought we all knew that already....
