Why the Incest Taboo?

I think that incest is okay. If two people are attracted to eachother, and want to have consensual sex, why not? Tons of people have defects who *aren't* the result of incest. It's not like if incest were legal people would only mate within their own family all the time. It would simply be another genetic variant.

The only problem I can see with incest is the potential for "grooming." After all, how would we know if little Jenny's attraction to her older brother is all her own idea; or if her brother manipulated her into thinking it was the only thing/person she could do?
