Hey BDM, I'm about halfway through the first book! I like it very much. Do you think whoever thought up Heroes was a Wild Cards fan? Too bad they don't get these guys to write for the show.
Well, Tim Kring claims he wasn't a comic-book fan when he created the show, he was just trying to capitalize on the boom in comic-book movies, and make a show about "regular people who happen to get powers". No costumes, secred identies, etc.
Personally, I think he ripped off Wild Cards and every old cliche from comics in the 1980's. The show has become unwatchable. I mean, even the press releases about the upcoming season don't make sense. They were casting for an acto to play a young Nathan, because apparently Nathan touches someone with powers that makes him experience flashbacks as if they're real.
Ummm....yeah, on problem with that,
jefe...NATHAN PETRELLI IS DEAD, SYLAR REPLACED HIM AT THE END OF LAST SEASON. Seriously, can the writers not fucking remember what happened as soon as a season ends? If they make Sylar as Nathan experience Nathan's memories, that will be FUCKING RETARDED.
Anyway, glad you like the book, I think they're great, and they get even better and more sophisticated.
