Willow has really let herself go..

too many twinkies

Paganism is just as shiste as the rest of it.

Yup.

Keeps the lesbians under control at least.

SNARF!
he became a Pagan cos he was gay?

THere's not logical reason to do so, so probably.

Pagans are idiots.

THANKS.

You're a Pagan?

Do you actually hold a true belief structure around the Polytheistic folk religions?

To have true paganistic beliefs beyond a wiccan/neopaganism choice of alternativism is rare and unlikley to be built around any serious understanding and true spiritual connection to old religion.

As someone who has a keen interest in theology I am forced to pretty much broadly declare most "Pagans" these days of being idiots

Just my opinion of course.

I'm a vegan, is that similar?

Dion, have you not known this about me all these years?

No, my understanding's just fine, thanks.

I don't mind the Neo-pagan whatsis';they're mostly harmless gits like that guy in the video - fed up with with hypocrisies and limitations they found in their old spiritual beliefs...meh, fair enough.
Nor do I mind my devout Christian friends and their deeply - held faith.
Nor do I mind my non-believing friends and their profoundly held beliefs. Yes, you can believe in not believing.

I don't proselytize nor explain nor defend.
(Although if I ever get to Greece we can have a raging debate for a few hours over many glasses of something that will cause our livers no end of dismay)
People have to find what works for them.

As John Lennon once said

Whatever gets you through the night.

Non belief isn't a belief.

Why not? - you believe there's nothing to believe in, right?

My position is identical on these matters no matter what the rigid belief system is.

And as for the "believe in not believing."

That's not an accurate statement. I don't "believe" in a belief structure that discounts other more likely possibilities in favour of a rigid belief system that may or may not have any real world application or scientific support. That belief is a logical supposition on the nature of belief itself.

In that way there is no basis to entertain or argue points of faith that are individual in nature and have no more divine providence than an afore mentioned cheese and pickle sandwich.

It is undesirable to believe a proposition when there is no ground whatsoever for supposing it is true

The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence whatever that it is not utterly absurd; indeed in view of the silliness of the majority of mankind, a widespread belief is more likely to be foolish than sensible.

When one admits that nothing is certain one must, I think, also admit that some things are much more nearly certain than others

Mmmm... no. Non-belief is simply a state where you don't believe.

The theistic, even the polytheistic, have this view that there can only be +1 or -1 but no 0.

Non-belief is 0, not -1.

LOL, I was going to say "someone get The Question in here!"

Oooh...religion talk.

There are times where I still pay homage to the gods of old, but not on a consistent basis to call myself any particular religion.
