Worst Cooks in America

Blindgroping

U mad 'bro?
Is anyone else watching this show in the Food Network?
two really good chefs pick each others team of bad cooks and they have to train them to cook for food critics.

these people are BAD.
a boiled whole chicken?
mac and cheese made with cottage cheese?
slicing directly through a whole clove of garlic and tossing the Whole thing in?
Catching a induction burner on fire?

~cringe~

Hey man, mac and cheese with a little cottage cheese is actually kind of tasty. Not cooking it with the mac and cheese, but mixing it in while you're eating it.

Hey man, don't knock it until you try it.

Just like peanut butter and dill pickles. You wouldn't think that it would work, but it's oh so delicious.

We make a granola mixture at work, oats, sunflower seeds, nuts, raisins, maple syrup, oil, some other ingredients.
This gets baked and broken up.
they have the Dish washer do it. It ends up burnt and not mixed well.
This woman Just Doesn't Know how to cook properly.

She also make the oatmeal in the morning.
Oatmeal continues to thicken as it sits in the warmer. therefore, you make it Not Thick, because you know it'll get there. And she adds a POUND of butter to the mix.
I complained.
Some people like butter in their oat meal. Fine. PUT IT ON THE SIDE. NOT IIINNNNN The OATMEAL!
Work is starting to see that you have the COOKS cook the food, do not have the DISH WASHERS cook the food.

And talking to her about it is impossible. She doesn't see what's wrong, and takes it personally.

the cooks cook 99% of the time, but occationally, people don't show up for work and you have to work with the people that do.

He's everywhere, but he doesn't define the good shows. Chopped is pretty good. It's like a mini gameshow version of Iron Chef.

Speaking of which, I had a chance to meet Iron Chef Garces a few years ago, way before his recent fame. The guy is really cool. Very humble. His food is completely the opposite. If you're ever in Philly, make sure you book a table at Amada. Fucking awesome food.
