If I had a normal body and a normal brain with proper anxiety management then yes.

But NOT IN MY FUCKING LIFE as I am, obviously.

I reckon the scariest bit is just as its taking off, when you are in the area where the fall would still kill you if the capsule fell off, but you wouldn't have time or the space to deploy your parachute.

I also reckon if you ever wanted to commit suicide and guarantee a fast death with a hell of a ride first, jumping from a plane and not pulling your parachute would be a good way to go.
 
I've skydived once. Static line. For my younger brothers birthday. I was perfectly fine all through the training course. Our crew of friends has plenty of good time jokes though-out w/ everyone congratulating each other on how bad ass we all were. Then you get on the plane.

On the plane you sit ass to cock in a row on benches along each side of the fuselage. First guy out in the line up sits next to a clear Plexiglas slider. Care to guess who first guy out ended up being? That's right - Yours truly with my little brother sitting right behind me. No getting out of that balls intact.

As the plane left the ground I thought "What the fuck am I doing?"

They teach you count to three then look up to confirm that the static line has deployed your chute properly. If not, you must release your main and manually deploy your reserve chute. Good thing I had my three hour of training to rely on if I were to find myself in such a situation.

If this seems to you like a past time for lunatics, I'd have to agree. It was pretty goddamn fun, but very scary.

I'm afraid of my own stupidity. Knowing me I'd completely forget the training the second I jumped out and fumble around for the chute... thing.
 
Why am I not surprised that Mirah would be up for the challenge and Eggs would be up for the young fit male?
 
I'm too paranoid. I would think someone had hacked my parachute or maybe it wouldn't open properly and then I would fall and land on someone I knew, thus snuffing their life out as well....

I think with all the natural cushioning and padding of your body you'd survive the fall...also...

The most spectacular thing in that video was the length of the old man's chest hair.

Odd how they built up to the big jump only to almost immediately cut to him on the ground.
 
I think the cut was because that was a test jump and they want to save the drop footage for the big one. It's called "tease" in the title which kind of gives it away.
