My dear, reading sharpens the brain, helps you to think. That's the problem. Most people can't think, most of the remainder won't think, the small fraction who do think mostly can't do it very well. The extremely tiny fraction who think regularly, accurately, creatively, and without self-delusion-in the long run these are the only people who count...

Now I really hate to poop on your parade, but I got to tell ya, I think I just may be able to give ya a bit of a run for your money on that oldest living human thing. I've been known to slide through the ages a time or too myself. You could say I've seen more than my fair share of kingdoms crumble and lords turn to dust.

If ya know what I mean. ;)

Remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible but in the end, they always fall -- think of it, ALWAYS.

In my World as Myth, I have encountered you, Flagg. You speak a good game, but, in the end, you lose out to man's inherent goodness, and his willingness to sacrifice himself for the greater good.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

I, sir, DO NOT intend to do nothing. Your days are numbered here.

Now Lloyd, no need to start off on a bad foot here. I've been around these parts since you were still a sparkle in your dad's eye and he had a lively spring in his step.

Chances are, I'll be around long after you've gone and turned to dust.

Just remember Lloyd, even the most god fearing men have a price. And I've been collecting for a long time. ;)
